Grupo Construcía transformed the UDIT – University of Design, Innovation and Technology headquarters, located at Calle Alcalá 506 (Madrid), into a modern, safe, and efficient space.
This new campus is located in a property that had already been fully renovated by Grupo Construcía for its client Ibervalles Socimi. This prior experience provided deep knowledge of the building and its implementation potential, streamlining the project execution.
Scope and methodology
Together with Construcía Instalaciones, we applied our Lean2Cradle® methodology, based on detailed planning and circular economy principles.
Civil works and partitioning: construction of new partitions and spatial definitions using efficient and sustainable systems.
Interior finishes: installation of suspended ceilings, new flooring and wall finishes, full painting works, and aluminum-framed glass partitions for a modern and functional aesthetic.
Safety and comfort: implementation of a fire sprinkler system (PCI) compliant with all fire safety regulations.
Technical installations: integration of a VRV air conditioning system for efficient energy management and high thermal comfort. All electrical infrastructures and voice and data networks were also upgraded to meet the needs of a digital learning environment.
Project challenges
The greatest challenge was delivering a large-scale renovation in just 7 months while ensuring design quality, technical performance, and user comfort. Thanks to intensive coordination and a zero-waste execution, UDIT now has a campus ready for the future of education.
