First Lean2Cradle offices in Spain for Construcía Installations

Construcía Installations Barcelona has moved to its new offices in Sant Cugat del Vallès, the Group’s first own installations in Spain that have been made with the Lean to Cradle methodology. They have an area of more than 200 square metres and the duration of the work has been approximately 2 months.

Collaborative environments

The design of the new offices has been based on the generation of the so-called “collaborative environments” that follow a work dynamic in open spaces in which the communication is direct and quite linear.

• Open work areas for users. Facilitates relations and constant collaboration among co-workers.
• Work areas reserved for telephone conversations, group meetings and trainings.

Also noteworthy is the fitting out of comfort zones that make it possible to generate a healthy environment.

Distinctive characteristics

The innovative and quality characteristics that the Lean2Cradle methodology provides to us in this project are:

• The installation of “dust trap” carpet that will keep allergies at bay and will keep the space clean.
• Products free of harmful chemical substances to not affect the health of the workers.
• Generation of landscaped areas to improve the indoor air quality.
• Use of acoustic insulation materials on roofs and walls that improve the acoustic quality of the different spaces.
• Reinforcement of the light levels at the work points above 1.000 lux for greater luminous comfort.

Moreover, sustainable materials have been used with the environment under the umbrella of the so-called cradle to cradle (C2C). This means that, in addition to being free of harmful chemical substances and being produced respecting the environment, a material passport is made.

• Contaminating agents are not used in the manufacturing process of the materials. For example, the paint used does not contain solvents in its preparation or neither varnishes nor harmful glues are applied to the furniture.
• A commitment is made to materials with a high degree of recycling, avoiding those that contain plastic.
